An Evening With “Beatle” Bob Barry

The Cavern Hartland had an evening of 1960’s nostalgia with Bob Barry on September 4th from 7pm-9pm. The legendary radio DJ who introduced the Beatles at their only concert appearance in Wisconsin held 54 years to the day at the Milwaukee Arena in 1964. Bob shared stories about his interviews with the Beatles and other music legends during his nearly 30 year hall of fame career as Milwaukee’s top rock ‘n’ roll DJ. Bob’s presentation was held at the new Cavern Hartland, a private venue inspired by the original Cavern Club in Liverpool, England.

The Event Included:

All attendees received a signed copy of Bob’s book “Rock ‘n’ Roll Radio Milwaukee: Stories from the Fifth Beatle” and a concert from special guests the Ricochettes, a local band known as “Milwaukee’s Beatles” during the mid-1960’s. The Ricochettes selected songs from the Beatles 1964 Milwaukee concert set list to honor this special date.
